Anastasis – 2026

I went rogue with this one!
The 2026 release “Anastasis” is worlds away from my usual sample-infused funk and puts me back on the path to who I always was as an artist: A raw, nostalgic spirit of retro-indie rock! To achieve this was a story all on its own. Days and nights in the high country of Victoria, Australia, recording take after take – instrument after instrument- to a year-in-the-making live band, Stonka, that feels like the old days, back to the “Swamp Cats” era.
It’s a refreshing and heartfelt gem that captures the true spirit of my new sound and distinctly personal twist. Clocking in at just under 58 minutes across 15 tracks, this album feels like a late-night road trip through small-town memories, heartbreak, rebellion, and quiet hope — Raw, untamed, unpolished and nostalgic.

From the opening shimmer of “Lights In The Sky” to the gritty closer “Good Luck”, these songs feel lived-in and authentic. My songwriting has always been a little punchy with a storytelling-driven rock but now with the retro sound it has always deserved. A perfect blend of jangly guitars, driving rhythms, and occasional lo-fi charm that gives the whole record a warm, intimate vibe.
Tracks such as “Break Free” and “Tomorrow I’ll Find A Way” bring a soaring, anthemic energy that’s incredibly uplifting — perfect for those moments when you need music to remind you tomorrow’s another shot. Meanwhile, quirkier cuts like “The Spider & The Cat” and “Jamin’ with The Devil at Moonlight Creek” add playful personality and keep things unpredictable.
What I love most about this one is how cohesive yet varied the album feels. It never overstays its welcome, moving seamlessly between rowdier numbers (“Nothing Going On”) and introspective ballads (“Switched On To You”) without losing momentum. The production is crisp but never over-polished — it retains that human, slightly rough-around-the-edges quality that aims to humanise the sound.
If you’re into indie rock with heart, storytelling, and a touch of nostalgic Australian small-town soul, this if for you. A new chapter, a rebirth, an Anastasis that hopefully leaves you smiling, reflecting, and ready to crank it up again.
